I started dancing in Auckland, New Zealand at the age of 3 for Alice Whitty, and then Jill Croft. I moved to Christchurch and obtained my TCRG in 1994, joining my husband Sean in teaching The O’Neill school. We have taught many New Zealand champions and our pupils regularly compete successfully in international feisanna. I passed my ADCRG in 2000 and have adjudicated throughout Australia, and part time panels at Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne, and Ireland’s North West Championships. I am delighted to be asked to judge the 2024 McAleer Championships and wish all the organisers, teachers and competitors a very successful weekend.
